owner speaks out

The house is ideally situated between the medieval bastides of Lauzerte and Penne-d’Agenais, just 20 minutes from Villeneuve-sur-Lot and 10 minutes from Penne train station. I love the charming surrounding villages—Roquecor, Lacour de Visa, Tournon, Beauville, Montaigu de Quercy—with their restaurants, weekly farmers' markets, and the lively night markets of the summer season. Whether we are 2 or 20, the house easily adapts to its occupants. In summer, I adore long lunches in the shade on the north terrace, taking in the spectacular view—one I never tire of, even after all these years. At Christmas, my favorite spot is the small, sheltered south-facing terrace, where we still enjoy meals outside! I’ll miss my naps in the summer kitchen, the delicious tomatoes I grow, not to mention the truffles—and the blossoming plum trees surrounding the property, heralding the arrival of warmer days!
