His fascination with history and architecture has been a constant throughout his life. To him, every building has its own character and story, something that continues to inspire him time and time again. While travelling, his attention is naturally drawn to different architectural styles, historical influences, and the unique atmosphere of cities and regions.

Mathijs grew up in Mechelen, a city he has seen evolve beautifully over the years through the revitalisation of its historic centre. This transformation only deepened his appreciation for architecture, authenticity, and urban development. Sport also plays an important role in his life, and through triathlon he found the perfect outlet where discipline, perseverance, and focus come together.

His background in youth criminology taught him to always put people first. Supporting clients, truly listening, and offering a tailored service still form the foundation of his way of working today. His passion for real estate began with the sale of his own apartment, after which he decided to fully dedicate himself to the sector. After two years at an office in Wilrijk, joining Immodôme Mechelen felt like a natural step. The vision, depth, and DNA of Immodôme align perfectly with who he is and how he experiences real estate.
